I have a container of extra paper that I provide if students run out and need extra. Lately, I have noticed that the same students are constantly getting paper out of the bin. I have refilled the bin many times this year. How do I get these students to bring in their own supplies so that I am not constantly providing them? Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!) I think that older students don't like carry supplies around because they feel that they are nerds and its not cool. If they are younger, maybe the students are not able to buy whatever they need. I would first ask them why they do not come to class prepared. If you can not get a straight answer then I would speak to their parent by phone or by note. Then, if the parent indicate that they are having financial problems then I would direct them to the school caseworker.
