Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
Make eye contact, stand close to them and sometimes mention their names. |

Comments: I agree that making eye contact and waiting for their attention could be useful but getting close to them is not a great idea. That is intimidating and a little too much for this situation. Once they stop talking after making eye contact let them know they are disrupting and need to get back on task. |

Comments: You should not mention the name of the student if it is possible, so as not to draw negative attention to them and further upset them. |

Comments: This may not be a good idea to implement with all students, as some students may feel uncomfortable and see this as an invasion of space or might embarrass them. |

Comments: Not a bad idea but you don't want to signal them out by saying their name. Sometimes that can lead to more acting out from the student |

Comments: This is good, but it will only work sometimes. Often students will need a reminder or a motivation to be quieter. |

Comments: If I were in this situation, I would not do this because not all students will pay attention to eye contact or care about it. |
