Case: ADHD Student
There is a student in my class who has a 504 plan because he has ADHD. This student does not always take his medication, and I can certainly tell due to his behavior. What should I do on the days he does not take his medication?

Comments: It is not always possible to speak with parents, and if it is, it is not a guarantee that the child will take their medication each day from then on. There needs to be an alternative solution. |

Comments: I feel that there needs to be more to this action besides just contacting the parents. I feel that to help the child and your class a separate and smaller activities of learning should be implemented. |

Comments: I would not do this. There is more that needs to be done to help this situation. Parents sometimes are not involved or open to communication so this is not a fix all. |
