  Case: Read Along
Everyday, after lunch, we do a two class read aloud. This allows one teacher some RTI time. Some students feel this is time to goof off and disrupt the class. How do I control these students without taking away from this fun activity?
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
Lunch time is always hard to come back from because they are full of new energy and were outside of the classroom. I suggest coming back in and doing a brain break like a GoNoodle or other dancing, moving activity to help get the jitters out. If possible, schedule recess for right after lunch time. This will help wear the students out and encourage them to relax and learn back in the classroom.

Comments: The solution is a great one as it would help students to settle down and focus to what they should be doing afterwards. I like the idea of having students be active as it will allow them to move around and get wake up in case they were feeling tired. Great solution!

Comments: A song and dance to get the jitters out is a perfect way to make sure the kids are ready to transition into a learning atmosphere after lunch or P.E.

Comments: I agree with this idea. A brain break would help rowdy students release their energy and regain their composure so they can effectively focus on their upcoming lesson. It's important to ensure students are calm, focused and ready to learn before beginning a lesson right after a lengthy break time.
