No matter what group or pair she is in, she is not focused, talks too much, doesn't get anything done, and brings her group down with her. I have tried many types of groups and different pairs. What should I do? Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!) I would tell the student each time they were in a group the correct task you are looking from them. Since this continues to not work I would give them independent work until they realize they are not staying on task when they are in a group. I would later try and give them a second chance to prove themselves.
