Case: Tattoos
I am interested in knowing some schools' policies are for teacher tattoos. Are they to covered at all times? What if a teacher has one on their ankle, wrist, behind ear? I would like to know from teachers whom have received teaching positions with tattoos, just how the rules are.

I would recommend covering the tattoo during the interview if possible. I have a tattoo and it is on my foot. I can easily hide it if necessary, but no one has ever said anything to me about it. However, anytime I go for an interview for anything, I make sure it's covered. I know at other schools teachers can show their tattoos without fear while others have to have them covered. It truly depends on the school and the hiring committee. |

| Comments: I believe if you have to hide your tattoo during the interview then you should always hide it. I don't think it'e ethical to get hired with hiding your tattoo and then exposing it at a later time. |

| Comments: Its always better to be safe than sorry! if you have any tattoos that cant be hidden with clothing or jewelry, there are makeup brands that make concealers that are pigmented enough to cover tattoos! I've had to use it before when I was hiding a tattoo from my parents when I was younger. |
