Case: Chatty
What is a good way to get the attention of chatty students without yelling at them?
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
You should always use behavioral cues, things like if you can hear me put your finger on your nose or raise your hand when talking gets out of control and students should respond doing the same. |

Comments: I think the use of behavioral cues is a great idea that I would definitely use in my classroom as well as it maintains focus, and allows kids to be aware of when they need to quiet down without yelling at them. |

Comments: I like these strategies as it asserts the teacher, allowing students to fall in line. Isolating/moving students is another possible strategy, as well as establishing classroom rules which reinforce them. |

Comments: This works I used it last year with Kindergarten class. It is important to start off in the beginning of the year so they are used to it. |
