If I force him to, he breaks down and throws a huge fit. Any advice to get him to do the work that is mandated by the county? Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!) Definitely talk to the student privately to see what the issue is. If it is a simple I don't want to do it, then take corrective action like lunch detention, no recess, time out, go to the principle, etc. If it is that they do not understand it, then have the school organize a learning plan for him to catch up and not get so frustrated.
