  Case: Chatty
What is a good way to get the attention of chatty students without yelling at them?
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
You could split them up. Also maybe have a 5 minute talking break every so often so they can get it all out then continue to learn.

The suggested solution is original Yes
Comments: I love this idea! You stole it right from my brain. I think every so often students do need a small break to get rid of their excess energy. If they have frequent, small opportunities to chat with one another they may not feel as compelled to speak during class.

Comments: I would not give the students 5 minute breaks throughout the day because I think it would only distract the students more. I would only allow for talking time at the beginning of the day, during lunch, and at the end of the day to ensure that all of the day's goals are accomplished.

Comments: Splitting them up into groups to work together would be fine but I do not feel that they would need any further breaks for socializing. The group work should satisfy the social need of a break.

Comments: You should teach them not to talk on your time. Not give them their own time to talk

Comments: I would not do this. By giving the students breaks could cause more disruption and waste more time trying to get them back to focus. The social time can wait for an appropriate time like at lunch.

Comments: What if it is more than two students? You cannot split up the whole class. This solution in my opinion needs help.
