If I force him to, he breaks down and throws a huge fit. Any advice to get him to do the work that is mandated by the county? Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!) I would have to explain the importance to him. The teacher needs to motivate the child and be able to get him to do the work. Finding the root problem will most likely give positive results. Leaving it up to the parents to handle it could make the situation worse, and, worst case scenario, the parents might get upset at the teacher for not knowing how to handle their students.
