Sure, I try to give them interesting texts to read, but there are some things we are required to read that simply aren't interesting. Any ideas? Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!) High school is hard! I would find out from the students any motivations that might work? Party day? Extra credit? Even if the students help to come up with some sort of "reward" for completing the required readings, this doesn't ensure that the students will actually read the material.
