Case: Innapropriate conversations
I am currently interning in an elementary school and during a specials break I overheard two kindergarten teachers talking about inappropriate things. there were no students around to overhear the conversation but I did and was offended. What is the appropriate course of action?
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
Although awkward, because you are only an intern, I would speak personally with these two teachers. I would let them know that it offended you to hear them speaking about the things that they were. I would kindly ask them to be mindful that there are others around and that they should have these types of conversations in private. This would be the best way to stand up for yourself and your beliefs, and the other teachers should respect you for being bold. |
