No matter what group or pair she is in, she is not focused, talks too much, doesn't get anything done, and brings her group down with her. I have tried many types of groups and different pairs. What should I do? Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!) I would try working with the student one on one and try to understand what exactly it is that hinders her from completing the assignment. I would also ask the class to work independently and try to see what she does in that scenario as well. It will likely take some time to find a solution, but I don't think you should give up until you have tried as many solutions as possible. There is always a better fit for a student who is struggling, we just have to take the time to help them find it!
