  Case: Administrator Playing Favorites
An assistant principal has a group of students that she plays favorites with. These students are constantly in her office when they should be in class and when any of them are written up they receive barely a slap on the wrist if anything. This same principal sends out emails to the school telling teachers to not send students to her office without her permission, but when students wander in after getting permission to go to the bathroom she lets them stay. How do you handle this?
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
In a way it is impossible not to have favorites as a teacher. There are just some students that you connect more. But it's how you treat the situation and that situation where the students are lying about going to the bathroom and instead hanging out with the assistant principal is not appropriate.
Maybe speak to the assistant principal how the students leaving constantly is disrupting your class.
