Case: Oh the politics
Working in my church as a teacher was a dream come true. I love my church and enjoyed the people who go there. Our school got a new director. I had suspension of physical abuse to a child in my classroom so I brought it her attention. She told me to keep documentation on the situation and take pictures. I did. Then as things continued the mother came to me and told me her husband was hot tempter. I brought this to the directors attention. She told me that the parents went to the church and were very involved and I was wrong. She told me if I pursue it I would end up fired...

Document everything you possibly can and report it to the abuse hotline. Regardless if they parents are highly invovled with the church or not, the child's safety always comes first. |
