Case: Fostering Students
Mrs. Appleby has a student in her class that was recently taken from his parents. The student is very attached to her and makes comments about wishing he was her child and could go home with her. The school counselor asked if she would be willing to go through foster parent classes because of the attachment the child has to her. What do you think she should do?
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
Since the foster services will find there own parents for the child, the teacher might not need to worry about adopting a child. Taking foster parent classes, however, might help the teacher know and figure out different ways to react and handle situations with the child and their personal, academic and social life. |
