  Case: Sarcasm in the class
When asking a question there is a student that loves to give smart remarks. I try to ignore them but is there a better way to handle this when it happens again?
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
Class Dojo is the best allows you to contact parents immediately!

The suggested solution is respectful of the individual (student) Yes
The suggested solution is relevant to the case No
The suggested solution is reasonable (easy) for the teacher to implement No
The suggested solution is likely to solve the problem/issue No
The suggested solution is original No
Comments: I do not think that contacting a parent is necessary at this time. I do like DoJo and point system for behavior so earning no points for speaking or something similar with be my first option.

Comments: I think that it is worth it to try to solve the issue in the classroom first before getting be parents involved. Maybe after several different attempts to correct the problem would be best to try to get in touch with the parents. But if only one solution method has been used so far, other solutions should be tested first before involving anyone else.

Comments: This could work, especially if you could contact the parents. But that also might not phase them depending on the grade level.

Comments: Try working with the student first to address the issue before resorting to petty parent contact; sarcasm isn't the end of the world.

Comments: This solution is not useful because it does not have the teacher address the student but immediately goes to their parents. This shows the students that they do not have to respect their teachers, because all the teacher does is tell their parents and parents may or may not do anything to alter the behavior.

Comments: I don't think that contacting the parents immediately is the best possible solution. I think contacting the parents, without a warning, will be a shock to the student. Give the student a chance to change his/her behavior before calling the parents.
