  Case: Class work
There is always this one student that is not focused on his class work. When it is time to do independent class work they always are off task either not doing anything or talking to the person next to them. It disrupts the class and they don't get their work done because the student is never on task. We have tried redirecting and working one on one with the student to make sure that they do their work.
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
Isolate that student, start with a warning and then either remove them from the classroom or put their desk against the wall !

Comments: Desk against the wall is a good idea and forces them to look at the wall instead of other students.

Comments: Seems a bit harsh not knowing what grade level this student might be; some young kids struggle more with this than others

Comments: I do not think removing the student would benefit the teacher or student. The student can be disruptful in the hallway or another classroom if that is where they are placed. Facing them away from students may only help temporarily.

Comments: This may minimize the distraction, but it likely won't help the student finish their work.

Comments: I don't know that isolation will better motivate the student in this situation.

Comments: I would just keep the students constantly engaged. I would use this as a last resort. Find what the student loves and have them work for it.
