The teacher often allows him to stand next to his desk while he is working. This seemed to work for a short while, but now his constant fidgeting has become even more of a distraction. Has anyone found any helpful tactics that could help? Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!) Wobble stools! They gently wobble to allow students to move while sitting at their desks. I find they are very helpful for students with these types of issues.
