Case: Defiant Student
I have a student in my internship who does not respect me whatsoever. When the teacher is around he listens well but if she is gone he will not do any work for me and talks back. Any solutions for this problem?
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
I would tell the teacher and ask him or her to tell the student you are to be respected. If this doesn't work you send the student to another classroom. |

Comments: Sending them away won't build up respect. |

Comments: Sending a student out of class should only be in cases of physical or emotional abuse towards others. |

Comments: I agree with the first part, but I definitely don't think sending the student to another classroom is the solution. That should always be an ultimate last resort and I don't think for a case like this, it's even warranted. |

Comments: I think sending a student to another classroom takes away your power. Now they know that they are able to misbehave and leave. |
