  Case: fighting in the classroom
There are two students that dont get along in the classroom. No matter where I seat them or how far away they are they still get into fights. What should I do?
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
I would use a penalty system with the two students. Something along the lines of three strikes before they deal with the consequence of having to eat silent lunch in the classroom, loss of recess, or detention. If the fighting continues, the parents should be informed before referring students to the administration.

Comments: This solution is best because it is the only one that talks about involving the parents of the students. Should the educator go straight to administration that could cause more problems because some parents may see this as a blindside and not know why they were never informed of the issues that were going on with their child in the classroom.

Comments: I understand the penalty system but do not think this works. The punishments might not work on all kids and may cause them to act out more.

Comments: I feel that this would be a good solution for the problem. Taking steps to deal with it first in the classroom before taking it to administration, unless they're fist fighting.

Comments: A penalty system is a good starting point - this way the students have nobody to blame but themselves. I would prefer to get administration involved before parents, but parents would get involved eventually regardless.
