Case: Bullies in the room
A parent comes in after school and states that their child is being continually bullied in class. They state that "You wouldn't know because is happens when you back in turned." They state "It is always happening and the child is too scared to come to school."
Work through your course of action to deal with this parent.
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
I would take the students down to the administration office and talk to someone about who is doing the bullying and what they are doing. From there I would do my best to make sure I keep an eye out for that behavior. |

| Comments: I feel taking the student down to the administration office would make the child feel scared and not want to say anything anymore. You have not personally seen the child bullied so I would keep a closer eye and even have an extra adult come in and help watch the class. I do not necessarily think you should go to administration first and just let them handle it. |

| Comments: The child being bullied should not just be marched down to the office. Instead, this would cause the victim to shut down and feel specifically pinpointed even more. The teacher needs to be the one to approach the victim, because they will feel more comfortable opening up to them. Once the teacher gets to the bottom of what is going on in the classroom then they can make the decision if it is necessary or serious enough to get admin involved. |
