Case: Local field trip
All the of the 2nd and 3rd-grade classes have been invited to a play. The theater is a 5-minute walking distance from the school. Our 3rd-grade class is in the back of the line. Each student has a buddy. One student is overly excited and running ahead. What to do?
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
Just keep telling the students to be calm and if they are overly excited bring the student to the side and tell him or her if they continue they will miss out on the movie. |

| Comments: I agree that attempting to calm the student is a good strategy, however, I think that it can be unwise to take the movie away as that may cause the student act out more. |
