Many of the teachers see this as a class distraction. How can teachers minimize distractions in the class without infringing upon the students' beliefs/feelings/rights? Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!) As long as this student is not breaking any dress code rules, he should be allowed to express himself in any way he wants! As the teacher, I would not call any attention to the student's dress and set the tone that it is completely normal. If the teacher is calling attention the student's dress, other students are sure to follow suit. If I heard any other students making fun of this student, I would immediately address the issue.
