The theater is a 5-minute walking distance from the school. Our 3rd-grade class is in the back of the line. Each student has a buddy. One student is overly excited and running ahead. What to do? Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!) I would first give this student a warning that they need to stay with their buddy, and explain that it is unsafe to run ahead of the group where their teacher can not keep track of them. I think that telling the student that if their behavior did not stop and holding your hand would be the solution, than the student would have most likely of had stopped. Give the student warnings and if they continue they will loose the option to walk with a buddy & would walk with the teacher instead.
