I usually have them take the extra work home and bring it back but they have not been doing that. What are some suggestion I can do to alleviate this problem? Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!) Look into an one on one with the student or a co-teacher that can help the student. If this is not possible, have him finish his work during recess or in the morning or in the afternoon. Usually my students work independently or read in the morning and in the afternoon, work on their homework. During this time, you should be free enough to sit with the student and help him. You could try contacting the parents and making them aware that he is coming home with work that needs to e finished and brought back.
