Case: Tardy to class
There is an EBD student that comes to class late every morning. Some days he walks in, and everything is just fine. Other days, he is upset and throws his backpack or slams his chair into the table. My cooperating teacher and I do what we can to prevent agitation when he comes in, but some days there's just no preventing an outburst...
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
I would talk to the parents and see if we could come to a agreement on having him come to class on time |

Comments: This doesn't really prevent the behaviors from happening. This only addresses part of the problem and just because you talk to the parent doesn't mean that the issue will be fixed. The student needs help with his behaviors as well as coming to class late. This doesn't really fix any problem. |

Comments: The solution might not be this east, unfortunately. Even if the parents do come to this agreement, the student may still have outbursts in class. |
