When it is time to do independent class work they always are off task either not doing anything or talking to the person next to them. It disrupts the class and they don't get their work done because the student is never on task. We have tried redirecting and working one on one with the student to make sure that they do their work. Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!) You can implement a reward system for the students that complete their work correctly in class. For example, if the students complete their work then they will be able to have extra time on computer games. It also may be helpful to find interests of the student and incorporating those into the assignments.
