Case: How would you identify the special needs of your students?
If you are asked this question in a job interview for a teaching position: What are some things you should avoid when responding to this question? What might be some important points to stress that would get the interviewer's attention? How would you respond to this question?
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
This question to me would mean students with disabilities and the Individuals with Disabilities ACT (IDEA). When indentifying the special needs of students this entails knowing and understanding all the students in my classroom who have an Individual Education Plan (IEP) or a 504 plan. As a general education teacher, I under law am required to comply with an IEP or 504 plan and must implement such accommodations outlined in my classroom. |

Comments: Understanding the information is important, but I think that this question expands beyond the students who are already identified and addressing the students who are unidentified. |
