I started them off the school year with individual pencils and bag, but this method doesn't seem to work. They get up during every block of the day. What do you suggest I do? Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!) I very much like the idea of non-verbal signals when a student needs a pencil. I would entertain the possibility of providing students with a small, personal hand sharpener they can keep in their pencil bag.
