Case: Misuse of teacher time
What do I do when students constantly come up to me for help?
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
Some student may be confused while other may have developed learned helplessness. It is important to know your students personally so that you are able to distinguish the two. Reteaching may be possible for confused students. I would establish a "see three before me" rule for students to learn self reliance. |

Comments: Learned helplessness is a very prevalent issue. If you're getting the same question, reteaching it to the class may help, but the "See 3 before me" rule would definitely help for those smaller parts. |

Comments: I like that you mentioned that a students could have learned helplessness. Paying attention to how many times a certain student asks for assistance and if they actually require assistance is a good idea. |
