Other days, he is upset and throws his backpack or slams his chair into the table. My cooperating teacher and I do what we can to prevent agitation when he comes in, but some days there's just no preventing an outburst... Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!) I think that it is important for the student to know that he is safe in his environment and when he comes into class he needs to know that he is safe there. I think that many students with EBD do not feel like they belong in their surroundings. As a teacher I think you should have this conversation with the EBD student as well as with his other classmates. Just so that everyone is on the same page.
