  Case: Inappropriate Rapping
In my internship class, there is a high school ESE student that is constantly rapping loudly. They are rapping songs that are incredibly inappropriate. The teacher of the class just ignores them or tells them to stop but then doesn't do anything if the student continues. I feel like I should do something but I'm just not sure what.
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
I would give the student 2 choices, stop rapping or some form of consequence that you know they won't like. Telling them to "stop" doesn't give them and incentive to do so. There needs to be some form of plan in place, otherwise the student won't care.

Comments: Students may retaliate and sometimes consequences don't work for them either.

Comments: While I do agree to a certain point, this might be this might be the students only creative release. I am not sure if giving them 2 choices would be the best idea.

Comments: Something like this would most likely already be in place. They need some sort of release for this behavior so giving them something for doing something could be useful.

Comments: Punishing them and speaking to them during class is giving them attention, which could be exactly what they want. Also, threatening a student is never the best option.

Comments: The student clearly has some sort of behavioral disorder. This solution is both counterintuitive to that fact and does not provide a constructive solution.
