I teach a class of 25 rowdy 8 year old kids. I am a firm believer in the fact that they need a break. I have been stopping and doing a Just Dance break after lunch, but I always feel like I have to sneak around and hope to not get caught. Am I wrong for wanting my students to have a break? Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!) You are absolutely not wrong. I teach 9 and 10 year olds and I could not imagine them not having recess every day. The students and you need a break and it is so important that they are able to get some of that energy out during the day, so that they are able to focus more throughout the rest of the school day.
