  Case: Student teacher lunch
I have a student who comes to my classroom and wants to eat lunch with me every day. She comes in and asks to have a "bite" of my sandwich, or for me to split my food with her. I started locking the door but she knows I am in there and will continue to knock will I open the door. She has friends to eat with, but I think she just does not like the cafeteria food and wants my lunch instead. She does not come in and talk to me either, she just sits on her phone and asks me to walk with her to a restaurant close to the school and buy her food. What do I do with this student? Do I continue to give her my food, or do I put my foot down?
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
Definitely I will put my foot down and tell the students that you need your alone time at lunch, the student need to bring her own lunch or eat in cafeteria food and you need to call the parents to let them know that this is happening and inform also the administrators.

Comments: I would not recommend calling home until you speak with the student seriously about it. Issues at home may be part of the reason she is coming to you and calling home maybe just make things worse.

Comments: I don't think that they need to involve administration or parents this far in the situation, however, I do think that this needs to come to an end before it gets to that point.
