Our school got a new director. I had suspension of physical abuse to a child in my classroom so I brought it her attention. She told me to keep documentation on the situation and take pictures. I did. Then as things continued the mother came to me and told me her husband was hot tempter. I brought this to the directors attention. She told me that the parents went to the church and were very involved and I was wrong. She told me if I pursue it I would end up fired... Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!) As a teacher we are mandated reporters so no matter what your supervisor says, if you suspect abuse you MUST report it and you should be protected my law
