  Case: misbehavior
In the class that In interning in the teacher seems to have a hard time getting the students attention when they are in small group activities, this leads to off topic conversations and loss of control of the class. What strategies should the teacher implement to gain control of the class when they are having group discussion.
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
Hi! another intern here. I would say the best thing to do is to make a signal that becomes routine to get their attention. It can be a bell, music, or something a easy as raising your hand. Then wait to see if they get quiet. If they don’t then it’s time to call everyone to their assigned seat. I hope this helps!

Comments: Using strategies that become a part of their routine is very useful. Using a signal can be a quick way to get students attention and they will understand what the expectation is as soon as the signal is sent.

Comments: There are different solutions that can be used in this situation and This one is one of those. Using a signal is useful, common and easy to implement, especially if it is introduce earlier on in the year.

Comments: This is a good idea but it may depend on the class at hand. Doing hand signals probably won't help in a high school classroom, for example.

Comments: I really liked this solution. I think a signal is great. In the classrooms I have volunteered in and observed in, the teacher I observe uses the "shark bait ooh haha" chant from Finding Nemo. The students who did not respond to the chant than lose class dojo points. This allows the teacher to observe who is following policy in a timely manner.
