Case: Teacher uses illegal drugs on weekends.
I was in my first week of my first internship and a neighboring teacher came into my CT's room and was telling her how she had gotten really high (marijuana) that weekend and is looking forward to doing the same the next weekend. My CT quickly changed the subject and we never spoke about it. Should I have said something to the administration?

I would report this to your supervisor. I would wait for their advice on if you should take the matters further. |

| Comments: I found this to be good advise since this person is an intern and reports to her supervisor first. I do not believe it is a good idea to go to administration since she or he has not been hired and is not a permanent teacher at that school. |

| Comments: I would get more information first. Marijuana is legal in almost every state so who knows if she takes it for medicinal or recreational reasons. I think that if it is not interfering with her work, and she is not coming to work high (on marijuana) then it is no different than having a drink on the weekend (in the states where it is legal). |
