I teach a class of 25 rowdy 8 year old kids. I am a firm believer in the fact that they need a break. I have been stopping and doing a Just Dance break after lunch, but I always feel like I have to sneak around and hope to not get caught. Am I wrong for wanting my students to have a break? Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!) Students that young NEED breaks throughout the day to get their wriggles out. It is definitely not wrong and I would continue to do this. If there is a problem, I would discuss it with the admin and bring any necessary material (research, references, etc) to back up the fact that 8 year olds are not supposed to be working nonstop for 7 hours.
