Case: Parents who encourage their child to hit back
I have several parents tell me that they encourage their child to hit back if another child hits them. I have explained the school policy several times and the consequences, but they refuse to tell their child to not hit back. What should I do?

Honestly my parents told me the same thing. However for you I would remind the parents about the school rules and give better solutions for what to tell there students for when They get hit. Examples of this could be tell the students that if you get hit, run and get help. Better let the person who hit you get in trouble than you get in trouble. |

| Comments: Informing the student of their other options besides hitting back is the best solution. Informing them that the instigator will get in trouble not them should make them not want to fight back. |
