The ASL interpreter refuses to help pass out paper as it is not his job. This includes passing it out to his deaf student. What would be a good way to communicate why I would like some help? He did not go to school to be a teacher's assistant. If they already said no, asking again is probably going to cause a rift between the teacher and interpreter. They are there for the students communication needs, not to help the teacher with classroom tasks. As the ASL interpreter needs to be there for the student if not they might miss communicating to the student while doing another task.
