Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!) I would reach out to both the student and parents to find out how they are feeling, and gain a better understanding of what the home situation is. Outside of that, provide support to the student as you can, listen to their needs, and if necessary, an important resource such as a licensed therapist to help them work through what is going on. Be as understanding as possible in this situation!
