  Case: Safety Patrols
In my 5th grade internship we frequently have students who are safety patrols come late to class. My CT has asked students to leave their post earlier to get to class on time, but the issue has not gotten any better. What are some next steps to take to work on this issue?
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
switch the students who are the safety officers

The suggested solution is respectful of the individual (student) No
The suggested solution is relevant to the case Yes
The suggested solution is reasonable (easy) for the teacher to implement Yes
The suggested solution is likely to solve the problem/issue No
The suggested solution is original Yes
Comments: I do not believe this is the most appropriate solution for the case, often safety patrols are not for the teacher to switch out but for another staff member to oversee. Speaking with the other teacher or staff member about this would be respectful for the student and allow the monitor to see that there is an issue going on.

Comments: I wouldn't switch the students till the teacher overseeing the patrols is made aware of the issue
