What are some ways I can make them more comfortable around me? The students do not speak a lot of English but I still want to help out in the classroom. Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!) I suggest to familiarize yourself with their culture and a few words in their language to make them feel more comfortable. For example, learning "hello" or "good morning" in their primary language can go a long way. Also, you can try to incorporate their culture into your read aloud or lessons.
