Home | How It Works | Stats Login | Register         Case: How Much is Too Much? I am in graduate school for my Masters in Teaching. A question that I have is how do you know how many emails or updates to send a parent? I don't want to be too overbearing but I also want to communicate a lot with the parents so that they are understanding where their child is and how they are doing. Is there a better way to reach the parents other than email? Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!) I believe that for general communication, it's helpful to send out a monthly newsletter. This can cover the curriculum you'll be teaching that month as well as any birthdays, special events, or any other announcements. When you need to communicate about individual students, I plan on reaching out first via email and then following up by phone as needed. Not only do you want to communicate with parents when there are issues of misbehavior, but you also want to reach out when their student goes above and beyond in the classroom.
