  Case: Parent assist on chaperoning
Two classes are getting ready to take a big field trip together to St. Augustine this year and there is only room for 5 parent chaperones between the two classes. The parents have been informed that there names will be placed in a random generator and picked from there, but several parents are refusing to allow their students to go with out them, and have even threatened to call the district and complain. How do you handle the situation with these parents?
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
I would suggest explaining that there are only a few chaperone spots on the trip, but their child is in great hands and will be taken care of. If they do not want their child attending the field trip without them there, do not argue against their decision.

Comments: I agree with this solution. It would such for the student not to be able to go, but ultimately it is the parent's decision if they choose that even after being reassured that their child will be safe.
