  Case: Low literacy
Student is not doing her work. She is keeps interrupting class and being extremely disruptive. She argues with other students. She is aggressive verbally and physically. She talks back and mocks the students. The issue I feel is that she is extremely low reader. She is a level g reader in the fourth grade. She is not receiving any services. I am working on gaining data for services but what is a suggestion you have for this student.
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
Talking to the student about respect

The suggested solution is respectful of the individual (student) No
The suggested solution is relevant to the case No
The suggested solution is reasonable (easy) for the teacher to implement No
The suggested solution is likely to solve the problem/issue No
The suggested solution is original No
Comments: While i think this is a good way of solving the solution i do not think it is the best. Students in their fits will often tune out the teachers lecture and will disregard the comments. The student needs to be calmed down first and then they can begin to listen and focus on the teacher.

Comments: While talking to the student about respect is not a bad thing to do. I believe the other two are better choices.
The student needs more than talking about respect. She needs support and encouragement.

Comments: I think that this is a very vague solution. It could work but I think a more in depth solution would be better.

Comments: This may not work to its full potential because the student knows what she is doing wrong and continues to do it. Maybe another solution?

Comments: This is not what I would do in this situation. I believe that the problem is deeper than disrespect and talking to the student about their behavior does not get to the core of the problem.

Comments: The student needs a little more help than just being told about respect. The students behavior needs to be discussed in a calm setting one on one and then if it does not stop, with the parent as well. one on one help with reading would also benefit the student and the class as a whole.

Comments: I don't think this student has a problem with respect. As this person explained, the student is a low reader and isn't receiving any services. This student might just be frustrated or discouraged and is acting out because of that.
