  Case: Calling Out
Our class rules state that students must raise their hands before answering or speaking in class. I have an ESE student that is very intelligent and likes to answer all of the questions, but is constantly calling out before other students have a chance to raise their hands. I have tried reminding him of the classroom expectations, but the issue still remains. What should I do?
Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!)
To make the consequence of calling out more tangible than simply not following the classroom rules, you could provide the student with an agreed upon number of tokens at the beginning of the day, each time the student calls out, they have to give you a token. At the end of the day, however many tokens they have left could be translated into stickers on a sticker chart to earn a larger reward. You can gradually reduce the starting number of tokens that the student is given each day.
