She is aggressive verbally and physically. She talks back and mocks the students. The issue I feel is that she is extremely low reader. She is a level g reader in the fourth grade. She is not receiving any services. I am working on gaining data for services but what is a suggestion you have for this student. Solution: (Rates are posted for this solution!) A suggestion for working with this student might be to have a talk with her alone, and outside of class time. Let her know how her behavior is disrupting other students, and that this is not ok. Also acknowledge to her the fact that you notice she has the potential to be doing better in the class than she is, and you want to help her. You can set aside one on one time after school or get her connected with a tutor. If the problem continues, I would get the parents involved as well.
