Case: Athletic students?
I have seen many students focusing on diets (keto, paleo, etc) and their body image while trying to say they're aiming for health and athleticism. Where does this come into play in an educational classroom? Should this kind of talk be banned, or utilized?

I think it's really great that students are getting more into eating and being healthy. I think it would be a good idea to touch on it in class and how to use diets for health reasons more than body image. A lot of kids focus too much on self image in school. It becomes a major bullying issue. It's important to be healthy but they are still growing kids and need to eat. You can be healthy and such without starving oneself. I don't think dieting or the talk of it should be banned but I do think it needs to be discussed in class at an appropriate age to be a concern. |
